"HELLO AGAIN"

It's been a while since I posted new content on this site—in fact, 32 months since the last post. No excuses, but a lot has happened since then: I had major back surgery (if you want the gory details...lumbar fusion T12 to L5, and the whole lot anchored to the hipbone), shortly after that I was retrenched for the second time in two years, currently I am working to get my little business going properly, some family changes...
 
I have learned a few lessons during this time, especially about God and how incredible He is. Being on my back for 6 weeks gave me lots of time to think, pray, read, and generally take stock. Losing my job, starting out in a totally new direction and discovering that I can actually do what I've never even thought about in the past.... Quite an adventure! And God has been there every step of the way, even when I took the wrong ones and crashed.
 
I've been telling myself for months that i need to to start posting again, but I'm a Master of procrastination. Possibly a Ph.D.
 
To everybody who returned here hoping for something new, and finding "the same old": Please forgive me. And thank you: the website stats on returning visitors made it clear to me that I had to get going again.
 
So this is me starting to post again, beginning with at least one "Rambling" per week. More and different content later on, but let's start somewhere.
